Incidentally one of AVerMedia's other devices is based on Linux... maybe if we pester them a bit.

This doesn't seem to work in Linux yet. I can't seem to work out what chipset is being used; couldn't find any info on the 'net and don't feel like taking apart my brand new baby yet to find out that way.

I've added some basic info on the Linux USB device listing (see link below) so let's see if anyone else get's somewhere here.

I noticed that one of AVerMedia's other products is actually based on Linux, so I thought maybe they'd offer some help. Unfortunately this wasn't the case; look at the following e-mail correspondnace:
