Model Specifics

All hardware works with included into the kernel 2.6.28 drivers, except modem: Modem driver needs some kernel hacks to compile (get back functions kill_proc and find_pid). Also it needs some hacks to alsa. Get more information and driver package here [1]

Card reader understands SDHC cards.

Someone says, suspend to RAM works. I can't make it working.

Suspend to disk works.

Most extra keyboard buttons (multimedia special keys) works. You need to choose "Acer keyboard" in configuration of your Xorg.

IrDA works only at SIR speeds (may be my fault) (kernel module nsc_ircc).

The only unchecked hardware is IEEE1394 (I have no such devices). Seems, there is no problems.

This model has bluetooth switch an LED, but has no bluetooth adapter. If you have some technical skills, you can integrate a usual USB bluetooth dongle into notebook and connect it to the internal USB port connector. Bluetooth switch and LED than work excellent with it.
